CHEF MARY B.

Chef Mary B.

Mary Beckerman, aka Chef Mary B, has shared her love for fresh, wholesome foods for decades.

“I don’t care how old you are—everybody wants energy and vibrancy,” says Chef Mary B. “Everybody wants to feel good, and if they’re not getting that from their current diet, I’m going to tell them it’s time for a change!”

Chef Mary B’s culinary specialty is raw food, which she uses to cultivate healthy minds, bodies, and spirits via demonstration workshops, catering, training, and consultations. Chef Mary B also advises individuals on how to set up a raw food kitchen and how to select whole, unprocessed, organic foods. The Grove Isle Resort’s restaurant in Miami recently featured one of Mary’s signature dishes.

The Raw Fundamentals DVD showcases highlights from Mary’s most popular classes. To empower viewers, Mary created printable PDFs of not just the featured recipes, but guidelines for setting up a raw foods kitchen and cheat sheets for reluctant improvisers.

Mary’s passions for delicious cuisine, superior nutrition, and fitness have always inspired others to pursue a healthier lifestyle. Since the 1970s, Mary has been an advocate of fresh juices and greens. She was known to hike with a juicer in her backpack so she could make fresh juice along the trails. A native of Michigan, Mary has catered for David Bowie, Kiss, and Aerosmith; managed a 5-star restaurant; and received extensive food service training at Hyatt.

After many years of working with or tutored by Master and Celebrity Chef’s Mary is a graduate of Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in California and a member of the American Association of Nutritional Consultants. She is the founder and president of Marbec Ltd. and Lovin’ Goodies, which will be the name of her new gluten free vegan snack and desert line for the marketplace.

Chef Mary B is actively involved with Healthy Kids Healthy Michigan to help create school and community gardens in low-income and rural communities. She also works with the “Healthy U” program at the Jewish Community Center, the American Heart Association, and other organizations.
